Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) plans to build a complex of yarn, weaving, dyeing and sewing in An Lao district, Haiphong city, the group said in its website.
On November 5, Hoang Ve Dung- Vice general director of Vinatex and leaders of Haiphong city met and discussed about construction of a new complex of yarn, Weaving, dyeing and sewing in Quoc Tuan Ward, An Lao district ,Hai Phong. The project was approved by Haiphong’s authorities under the Documents No. 8090/UBND-CT dated Oct 31, 2013.
The project worth VND2.2 trillion ($1.04 billion) with following main categories:
1. Infrastructure of the complex
2. Fiber, weaving and dyeing, sewing factories
3. Clean water supply factory
4. Waste Water treatment factory
5. Housing for workers
The construction is planned to start in the second quarter of 2014. After the project is completed and put into operation, it will generate an annual average revenue of VND3.7 trillion ($1.75 billion), creating stable work for 5,000 workers at an estimated average salary of VND5 million/month, export value of the first year of operation will be about $54 million and will accelerate to $200 million in the following years, Vinatex provided.
