Gasoline Prices Up for 5th Consecutive Time on Nov 4

The Ministry of Finance and Industry and Trade allowed local fuel wholesalers to raise their retail prices of RON 92 gasoline by VND47 to maximum VND16,892 a liter, effective as of 3:00pm today [November 4].

This marks the fifth consecutive time the retail price of RON 92 gasoline increased.  

Prices of diesel oil and kerosene were kept unchanged, but the price of fuel oil was cut by VND5 a kilo.

The ministries explained that global prices of petroleum products had strongly gone up over the past 15 days. RON 92 gasoline prices increased to $60.185 a barrel on average while diesel oil and kerosene prices stayed at $60.808 and $60.064.
